Engine parts prevent the escape of the air-fuel mixture and burnt gas that comes out after the fuel and air mixture burst.In addition, they prevent the oil that lubricates the piston edges and cylinder walls from entering the combustion chamber. They help cool the piston by transferring the piston heat to the cylinder wall. There is a small piston clearance between the piston and the cylinder wall to allow thermal expansion during engine operation. Due to this piston clearance, there is a compression ring between the piston and the cylinders to prevent the high pressure air-fuel mixture and high pressure combustion gases from escaping from the combustion chamber to the lower part of the cylinder block.


1- By making a certain pressure on the cylinder walls, it provides sealing with the piston and ensures that times are formed.

2- Segments scrape excess oil in the cylinder, ensure the formation of an oil film between the piston and the cylinder, and both provide lubrication of the cylinder and prevent the engine from burning oil.

3- It helps to cool the pistons by transmitting the high heat in the piston head to the cylinder wall and then to the cooling water.
